Scientific bullying, as a growing concern, may emerge differently (from insults/snubs to violations of intellectual properties). Strategies such as specific training and detailed examination might be helpful for those at risk of bullying.

In this perspective piece we will explore the potential facilitative influence of COVID-19 and specifically responses to it, on bullying behaviors in academic and research environments.
