CFP10-NPs significantly enhanced the secretion of TNF-α and IL-1β in J774A.1 macrophages. Mucosal immunization with CFP10-NPs significantly increased the levels of TNF-α, IL-1β, IgA and CFP10-specific IFN-γ, and decreased bacterial load in lungs and spleen of M. bovis-infected mice.

miR-21 overexpression can result in down-regulation of the critical inhibitory proteins in tumor cells. Anti-miR-21 delivery to resistant ovary tumor cells using the carboxymethylated PEG5k-polyethylenemine nanohydrogels bearing redox-sensitive crosslinks, knockdown the tumor associated angiogenesis and provoke apoptosis though ROS generation.

MG63 and GMS Cell exposure to the control PEO and melted PEO (80°C-treated samples) demonstrated no cell toxicity, however cell exposure to 180°C-treated samples exhibited severe cell toxicity that is attributed to the byproducts remained of the PEO thermo-oxidative degradation. Cytotoxicity of the manipulated PEO is independent of its molecular weight.
