Aptamers (Aps) are short single-strand nucleic acids, which can be used as the therapeutic and targeting agent in advanced drug delivery systems. Conjugation of Aps with other entities (siRNA, toxins, drugs, DNAzyme/Ribozymes) provides advanced multifunctional nanosystems for cancer therapy.

Two chromone derivatives, CyC and AMC exhibit strong non-competitive acetylcholinesterase (AChE) inhibition. CyC, due to planarity and greater stacking interactions with Peripheral Anionic Site, is the stronger AChE antagonist and plasma protein binder.

Interaction of Quercetin and its Cu2+ complexes with serum albumins was studied. Complexation with Cu2+ altered the mode of binding of Qu with SAs, and strength of binding increased as evident from the binding constant calculation.
