Streptavidin functionalized gold nanorods act as intensification labels for the detection of cell surface markers in SPR biosensors. In the cell-based SPR biosensor, binding specific biotinylated antibody on the cell surface, streptavidin- gold nanorods can enhance SPR signals.

Two chromone derivatives, CyC and AMC exhibit strong non-competitive acetylcholinesterase (AChE) inhibition. CyC, due to planarity and greater stacking interactions with Peripheral Anionic Site, is the stronger AChE antagonist and plasma protein binder.

Two pathways were analyzed for the pathogenesis of FSGS disease using RT-PCR. Correlation of the target genes with pathological characteristics of the FSGS was studied. The implication of these target genes and pathways in the pathogenesis of FSGS was found.

Interaction of Quercetin and its Cu2+ complexes with serum albumins was studied. Complexation with Cu2+ altered the mode of binding of Qu with SAs, and strength of binding increased as evident from the binding constant calculation.
