The current study introduces an efficient ROS-responsive enzyme-based nanobiosystem and its biological impact in colon cancer therapy. Based on physicochemical properties, AuNPs-PEG-RNase A effectively induced apoptosis in SW-480 colon cancer cells and resulted in a significant reduction in cancer cell viability.

In this study biocompatible gold nanoparticles (GNPs) were synthesized using chondroitin sulfate (CHS) as reducing and capping materials. CHS-GNPs were characterized (UV, XRD-FTIR and TEM) and their biological (antibacterial, antioxidant and cytotoxicity effects and blood compatibility) and electrochemical properties were evaluated.

The findings suggest that F-Lys-TMX NPs are more effective and have the potential for cell proliferation inhibition and apoptosis induction compared to the TMX. Hence, F-Lys-TMX NPs can be considered as an anti-cancer agent against MCF-7 breast cancer cells.

CFP10-NPs significantly enhanced the secretion of TNF-α and IL-1β in J774A.1 macrophages. Mucosal immunization with CFP10-NPs significantly increased the levels of TNF-α, IL-1β, IgA and CFP10-specific IFN-γ, and decreased bacterial load in lungs and spleen of M. bovis-infected mice.
